Specialist Requirements
Studio Able were looking for a sign company who could manufacture signs using reclaimed wood. One was to be halo illuminated and the other sign-painted.
We were more than happy to help!
We treated the reclaimed wood with a 10 year wood protection and then coated it with a satin varnish.
Illuminated Sign
The letters were cut on our CNC from HDU material. We then primed and spray-painted them before securing the LED’s and acrylic back trays. We then attached the letters to the reclaimed wood using locators and connected the wiring from each letter behind the wooden panels to ensure all wiring was hidden.
Once done, we removed all of the old signs from the exterior and installed the new signs in their place.
Painted Sign
Being a design agency, Studio Able provided us with artwork, so all we had to do was plot the typography onto paper to form a trace. We were than able to use traditional signwriting techniques to paint the typography just how they wanted it.
