New sign for Busy Office Block on Newhall Street
Working with Prime Solutions, we were asked to fabricate a high quality hexagon tray sign for an office block on Newhall Street, Birmingham.
To ensure the longevity of the sign, we decided to use a 2mm thick brushed stainless steel which was manufactured in two sections. The back section was originally intended to house the LED’s but planning regulations prohibited this. The front tray was fret cut to allow for the 20mm opal acrylic to be inlaid.
The client wanted the sign to appear to be floating in front of the windows. This presented many challenges. Working closely with the the team at Prime Solutions, we were able to devise a fixing solution which could not only take the weight of the stainless steel, but also ensure that the window fixings were not compromised.
