Conviviality PLC:
One Week to Fit a Total of Six Shops Using Traditional and Contemporary Signage Techniques
Brand Guidelines
When Conviviality PLC purchased a number of former Rhythm & Booze stores they came to us via Lake Contracts Ltd to remove the old signs and replace with new Bargain Booze or Wine Rack. This was to be decided upon the demographics
They had mentioned ever increasing costs from their current suppliers and us to look at the specification. We found that they were paying for less suitable materials and so rewrote the spec for them. Not only did this give them lower costs, but also increased material warranties and life.
We worked closely with the client to ensure that their brand guidelines were adhered to and even paid a visit to Leeds to look at an existing Wine Rack Store that they were keen to match to.
The Bargain Booze stores consisted of a folded aluminium composite tray, 3mm acrylic flat cut lettering, Led trough lighting, double sided illuminated projecting boxes, window graphics and snap frames
One week, Six shops
Once all artwork was approved, we had one week to fit a total of six shops: Bargain Booze: St. Helens, Hoyland, Athersley | Wine Rack: Retford, Sharrowvale, Thirsk
As the store in Thirsk was in a heritage area, this sign had to be traditionally signwritten. To do this, we primed and painted the marine ply back board to their RAL and then hand painted the logo and tag line onto it. We applied moulding around the edges to make it consistent with how the signs would have looked originally in that area. We even took care of the planning application for them.
The wine rack stores had folded aluminium composite tray, 25mm HDU flat cut lettering spray-painted white, double sided illuminated projecting sign, LED trough light and window vinyls.
