Revamp of the Test Match Honours Boards for Edgbaston
For England…only the best will do
The Brief
The management at Edgbaston Cricket Ground contacted us seeking advice on how they could make their Test Match honours boards look a little more special. Often featured on TV and seen many famous cricket players from across the globe, Edgbaston felt that these boards needed a bit of sprucing up.
We did not want to undo the history of the boards by replacing them, after all there is nothing wrong with the honours boards. So we decided to design, manufacture and signwrite new header boards. This would help them to better match the other honours boards dotted around the building.
Manufacturing
As these boards are special, we asked Birmingham Case and Cabinet Makers to fabricate the headers to our drawings and to best match the old wood.
Once these were made, we began the sign-painting. Mary lovingly marked out the Warwickshire Country Cricket logo and the England Cricket logo before signwriting it using OneShot Signwriting paint.
Sam and Max then went to site to install them.
