Vehicle Graphics : To Promote Your Business or To Be Unique
Why invest in vehicle graphics?
Commercial vehicle graphics can be used to promote your own company and create brand awareness. It is an opportunity to highlight your services, logo, telephone number, website address, email address and your brand.
By making your company stand out with a premium vehicle wrap you can instantly increase your company’s visibility, as well as increasing sales. It’s effectively a moving advertisement, selling for you 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Sometimes people want to wrap their vehicle to add the personal touch. You can change the colour or personalise it with coloured graphics. You can have all that you want to be unique.
With a wide variety of vinyl available, from gloss to matte, textured to metallic, you are only restricted by your imagination.
What kind of materials can you use?
It depends on the type of graphics/wrap the customer wants. If they are having commercial graphics such as logo, phone number, list of services etc. then we would recommend a polymeric hybrid vinyl which has a 5-7 year life. We personally prefer Suptac by Hexis. If a full wrap is required then a cast vinyl with a 10 year life would be used. This vinyl will conform to shapes and curves and can be stretched and shrunk back. There are also many different types of wrapping vinyl. For ease of application, we prefer air release vinyl. This has small air channels which help any trapped air under the vinyl to escape. However, we have just done a full vehicle wrap using a 3M vinyl which does not have this.
What vehicles can you wrap?
Any vehicle can be wrapped, from a 1 litre VW Lupo to a double decker bus. We’ve done them all. My favourite was a touring car which we wrapped in our own livery for test day. The bus we did was a soft play bus which looked awesome. We have done countless commercial vans and cars.
How we work with customers?
When a customer approaches us for vehicle graphics or a wrap, we talk about their budget, their style or brand and the exact finish they want. For example, do they want door shuts wrapped and wing mirrors? Our graphic designers will then create a design which meets all of their requirements using a template of the vehicle. This enables the customer to see exactly what their car will look like. We can make as many changes as they like to make it perfect for them. Once they are happy with the design, we proceed with manufacturing. This will either be cutting vinyls, digitally printing vehicle wrap and laminating it, and so on. We will ask the client to bring the vehicle to us cleaned but not waxed or polished. We will then spend the first 2 hours cleaning the vehicle for a second time with alcohol to ensure that no contaminants are present. This is very important as even the smallest amount of grease can cause the wrap to fail.
We know how excited clients get about their vehicles when they are being wrapped, so we make a point of uploading progress pictures onto facebook and twitter and give them a call when the vehicle is nearly ready for collection.
